Amsterdam, 1947. Ten-year-old Thomas looks back on the past winter. A new boy, Piet Zwaan, joins his class: he has no parents and lives with his aunt and his cousin Bet. The boys become friends, and Thomas falls in love with Bet. Little by little he learns the story of Piet's family and realises that this winter changed his life. A production by students of Ruslan Kudashov's course, after Peter van Gestel's novel.
